Notebook

Always have a notebook and pen (or digital equivalent).

Invest in a decent hardback notebook. Some people prefer a diary format, personally I just write the date on the top of the page instead of trying to squeeze everything into a limited space. I use a ruled moleskin hardback notebook.

You process information by writing it down.

A notebook shows the other person and people in the room you are listening. Always good to have a record and notes to reflect back on.

Ideas can come at any time, write them down immediately.

Be Sceptic of people who arrive to a meeting without some method of taking notes.
